Sometimes going out to eat feels like I’ve handed each of my kids a $10 bill and asked them to tear it up into teeny, tiny pieces in front of me. Except when it’s a Kids Eat Free night and then, when they take less than three bites of their must-have meal, I just laugh and laugh.

Eating out with kids can be a hit or miss, so why not make it a win-win and head out to one of the many Seacoast restaurants that are crazy enough to feed your kids for free! Oh, and just a quick note that I’ve learned from experience– before visiting any of these restaurants, please call ahead as specials can change often. Enjoy!

Multiple Nights

If you’re craving “breakfast for dinner” (or dinner for dinner), IHOP in Newington offer Kids Eat Free every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (yes, you read that correctly) from 3-7 p.m and the Seabrook location has the Kids Eat Free special *every night of the week* after 4 p.m.!

If you’re looking to get out and stroll the town a bit, The Rusty Hammer in the heart of downtown Portsmouth offers Kids Eat Free specials every Monday and Tuesday night (includes one free kids’ meal with the purchase of one adult meal). The kids’ menu has one of my absolute favorite things in the world—French Bread Pizza!

Now that Opening Day is in our rear view mirror, any time the Red Sox win a game, come to the 99 Restaurants the following day and get a free kids’ meal with the purchase of one adult meal. This deal is good on take-out, too! Score.

On Mondays, The Farm Bar & Grille in Dover and Kittery, offers two free kids meals for every one adult entree purchase, which is great if you’re solo with the kids. If you’re heading into Portsmouth, kids eat free all day at the British Beer Company which offers fun menu items like Shepard’s Pie and a veggies-n-dip plate!

Every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to close, Ruby Tuesday in Portsmouth offers one free kid entrée with the purchase of one adult entrée. Just down the road at Texas Roadhouse in Newington, Tuesday’s are Kids’ Night with special activities and visits with Andy Armadillo. Kids eat free with the purchase of one regular adult entrée (Ranger meals excluded). Head a little bit south and you can score the same deal at The Old Salt in Hampton (aka Home of the Sunday Brunch Chocolate Fountain) on Tuesday evenings.

Café Nostimo in Portsmouth welcomes your little ones to eat on the house each Wednesday evening starting at 4pm. The kids’ menu (age 10 and under) includes Greek favorites (gyros and kabobs) as well as traditional pleasers (pasta and chicken tenders).  Try hitting up The Friendly Toast in downtown Portsmouth after 4 p.m. where kids eat free from one of the Seacoast’s most eclectic and delicious menus. Also on Wednesdays, Spaulding Steak & Ale in Rochester (open for dinner only) offers two free kids meals per one adult.

On Thursdays, head over to Bob’s Broiled Chicken in Portsmouth where kids can eat free all day with the purchase of one regular priced entrée. Great homemade food made from scratch!

Olé to Sundays! Get your Mexican food fix all day at Margarita’s Restaurant in both Dover and Exeter where you can get 2 free kids’ meals with the purchase of one adult entrée. Also on Sundays, Dos Amigos (locations in Portsmouth and Dover) hosts Family Sunday where kids eat free all day. Cinco de Mayo in downtown Dover will feed your children free off the kids’ menu from 3-10 p.m.!

For Sunday dinners, the Roundabout Diner has a Kids Eat Free special from 4-10 p.m. that includes one free kids’ meal with the purchase of one adult meal.

Bon appetit!
