Are you ready for some MAJOR deals? The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is hosting a Consignment Sale of children’s clothing and gear on September 10 and 11. This first-ever event, held inside Twice The Fun in Dover, will feature the sale of gently used, good quality children’s clothes, baby clothes and gear, footwear, costumes, toys, nursery furniture and décor, sports equipment, books, music, and videos.
What kinds of deals are available?
Do you have kids or grandkids? Shop with us for current styles and provide for your growing children at a fraction of the retail cost. Shopping couldn’t be easier! Clothing will all be organized by size and the tags clearly state the brand and price of each item. Check-out will be quick and easy with the use of hand-held bar-code scanners.
When is the sale?
The sale will be open to the public on Saturday, September 10 from 9am–5pm and on Sunday, September 11 from 9am–noon. Sunday will be a half-price sale on many items. There will also be a private pre-sale event on Friday evening, September 9 from 5pm-8pm for people who consign 25 items or more, or who register to volunteer at the sale.
How can I sell items?
Clean out your kids’ closets and your attic and earn extra money. Consignors earn 60% of all revenue from their sold items, help other families, recycle, and benefit a good cause all at the same time. The remaining net proceeds will benefit the Children’s Museum of NH and its vital education and outreach programs.
The museum’s consignment sale utilizes technology to make it easy for people to consign items, shop and volunteer. If people are interested in consigning, they go to the museum’s website and click through to a page where they can sign up and log in all the items they want to sell. When all of their items are entered, the program will print out a page of individually bar-coded tags that can be cut out and attached to each item before being dropped off for the sale. After the sale, consigners can log in and see which of their items sold and how much money they have earned.
What’s the schedule?
The full schedule for the sale is as follows:
9/7, 4pm-8 pm – Consigner drop-off of items at Twice The Fun
9/8, 10am-8pm – Consigner drop-off of items at Twice The Fun
9/9, 9am-4pm – Consigner drop-off of items at Twice The Fun
9/9, 5pm-8pm – Private pre-sale for consigners and volunteers at Twice The Fun
9/10, 9am-5pm – Public consignment sale at Twice The Fun
9/11, 9am-12 noon – Public consignment sale at Twice The Fun
Left over items can go to charity!
At the conclusion of the sale on September 11, consigners may pick up their unsold items at Twice the Fun from 1pm – 5pm. Consigners are given the option to donate unsold items to one of the museum’s designated community partners: the Dover Children’s Home, the HUB Family Resource Center, My Friend’s Place and Crossroads House.
